Director of Marketing/Customer Acquisition

Job Summary

  • This position is responsible for customer acquisition through direct-response advertising campaigns and partner-driven campaigns. This includes finding, evaluating, negotiating, and managing these campaigns to company ROI goals while managing positive relationships with publisher and partner representatives. Key performance indicators are volume, revenue, and profit metrics.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Building, managing, and optimizing advertising campaigns to ROI goals
  • Managing and optimizing partner sales funnel to company metrics
  • Analysis and tuning of sales funnel to company metrics
  • Development of campaign-specific marketing collateral
  • Analyze competitive strategies and define winning counter-strategies

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Demonstrated direct-response customer acquisition success
  • Ability to negotiate business terms for advertising and partner deals
  • Ability to analyze key business activities and metrics and make decisions to improve the business
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications, especially Excel and Access
  • Good written and verbal communications skills
  • Driven individual contributor and team manager
  • Self-directed, results-focused, action-oriented
  • Experience acquiring customers for a new product or service

Preferred Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • B2C Marketing in a Subscription based business model
  • Experience with CPA, CPM, CPC, SEM, SEO, PPC

Web Designer

Job Summary

  • Own UI design and enhancements of desktop and web applications and services

Primary Responsibilities

  • Complete ownership of all UI design elements of all products and services from design perspective
  • Prototype and create action-generating and SEO compatible designs
  • Own all design deliverables across multiple operating systems and browsers (IE7, IE6, Firefox and Safari)
  • Design of consumer friendly advertisements and landing pages
  • Design and implementation of A/B testing of web pages, advertisements, email, etc
  • Work with the development team on website design and assist in layout of web pages
  • Graphic design of creative assets for both web and print delivery
  • Manage and provide direction for outsourced design work
  • Proactively communicate status to all stakeholders throughout design process
  • Have fun and help ship a killer v1 product
  • Be a go-getter

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Must have an excellent understanding and experience of designing web standard compliant pages
  • Expert knowledge of HTML, JavaScript, CSS, Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, Flash
  • Expert knowledge in resolving cross browser issues (IE7, IE6, Firefox and Safari)
  • Ability to understand complex web codebase
  • Ability to create static and animated advertisements, adhering to industry standards for layout, positioning, size, resolution, etc
  • Experience creating other graphical marketing elements, such as layout and design of print marketing materials
  • Excellent multi-tasking skills across multiple projects
  • Excellent problem solving skills
  • Ability to work with fluid and ambiguous requirements
  • Ability to quickly learn the required technologies and tools
  • Excellent collaboration skills with Development, Project Management, Test and Operation teams
  • Self-motivated, results-driven, able to work both independently and with awesome teams, and be passionate about great new ideas
  • 4+ years of college or equivalent experience
  • 4+ years of solid industry experience in graphic and web design
  • Ability to use keyboard effectively for up to 8 hours per day

Preferred Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Experience working with ASPX pages (without interrupting server tags, etc)
  • Recent working experience in a startup environment preferably experience at an internet e-commerce company, publisher, or direct marketing company
  • Search engine marketing experience (PPC and/or SEO)
